We found the inspiration for this collection in the Vinča culture, which spread across the territory of present-day Serbia and the central Balkans from 5500. to 3200. years BC. The Vinča culture was a cultural center and the most technologically advanced Neolithic culture in Europe. It is believed to have given rise to literacy as one of its greatest achievements, and that the Vinča script is the oldest known script in the world.
